This post is totally late – but I’ve been super busy at work and haven’t felt too inspired to write. Back in January, I went to NYC to visit one of my longest-known BFFs and to explore this *massive* city for the first time. NYC was a bit overwhelming at times, and I didn’t really have time to explore any museums, buildings or libraries, but instead spent my time walking around the city itself, seeing some amazing sites from the outside. I walked miles and miles and miles everywhere! The only public transport I used was the Long Island Rail (I was staying in Stony Brook, Long Island) and Uber. The weather was freezing cold and grey for most of the trip, but I got back before that huge winter storm hit.
I just got back from a week in sunny San Francisco. I’ve never been any farther west in the U.S. than St. Louis, so I went as west as I could go for this one! My best friend had moved there a few months back and I missed her terribly. We had a great time and I can’t wait to go back!
Two weekends ago, I went up North to visit my grandma. I stopped in Salem for a day before driving the 2.5 hours to Topsham, Maine. I absolutely love New England, because, well, it reminds me of real England. The weather was lovely and cool. I got to visit several yarn shops, an Alpaca farm, the beach and several yummy restaurants. I even met an online friend, Ana of Toil and Trouble for the first time.
Last weekend I ran off to DC to see my best friend, Yuri and her boyfriend. I was completely surprised when another of my best friends, Heather, visited me as well! That’s the three of us in front of the white house up there.
