I’ve been doing a lot of traveling in the past few years and have discovered the wonders of public transport. There’s no real public transport in Nashville, beyond a train that goes in one line with a couple of stops and a terrible bus system, so I never really had experience with learning to read transport maps, figuring out fees and learning how to push my way through heavy crowds until I started traveling.
I might be the only one here, but I enjoy subways and trains and I *really* enjoying talking about the pros and cons of each, so much so I decided to write up a series of posts comparing them all together. Believe me when I say, all public transport is NOT equal.
I’ll be adding a post every time I travel some place new and use one of their systems. While I’ll mostly be talking of trains and subways, I thought I’d throw in a bit of other unconventional ways to travel besides renting a car.
Boyfriend’s been busy moving in over the past month, and with him comes a lot of “stuff”. I was worried at first because I can be a bit OCD when it comes to organization and decorating, but I’m happy to say that things are going well. Happy New Year everyone! Hope everyone has their resolutions ready and will stick to them all! I know this year I’ve made several serious goals that I plan to accomplish – for once I want to invest in myself!
There’s been several changes to the Weinberg household – most notably….a new baby! I got a Christmas puppy, an AKC Bichon Frise, who is the CUTEST puppy I’ve ever seen (see just that one ear sticking up???) This is the third dog to my household, officially making me the lonely dog lady. Oh well!

Sorry it’s been awhile since I’ve updated! I left in late November for my three week trip to the UK, and then when I came home it was time for the holiday celebrations!
I spent a lot of time in the UK visiting places I’d never been, including many castles and churches I’ve been wanting to see for awhile. Unfortunately I didn’t get to Scotland *again* as I came down with a terrible cold the first week, but I still got to visit tons of places including Cardiff Castle, Warwick Castle, Windsor Castle, Westminster Abbey, Bath and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Next time I visit though, I’m definitely flying directly into Scotland so I don’t miss it again.
